The City of Nanticoke will have its second annual "Trash To Treasures" citywide yard sale slated for Saturday, July 14, 2007
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale will take place on all city streets in Nanticoke City, Hanover Section and Honey Pot.

This is the second year that the City will be having the Citywide Yard Sale, and everyone is welcome to participate.
The idea of the event is, to coordinate the dozens of garage sales held throughout the year, have them on the same day, and try to draw the biggest possible crowds to the sales.

We invite everyone in the City, Hanover Section and Honey Pot sections to put out a table with what you would like to sell on these dates. Our hope is for everyone to travel the streets of Nanticoke not only to get a good deal but to see how beautiful our town is.

Last year we held the Citywide Yard Sale on a Saturday and Sunday, but this year we are trying something different.
We will not only have this yard sale on July 14th to sell your things that have accumulated during the winter, but, we will be having another 1 day Citywide Yard Sale on a Saturday sometime in September to sell the items you accumulated over the summer!

The organizers of "The Great Nanticoke Yard Sale" intend for the event to be something that not only will help residents earn more money at their garage and yard sales but will also bring people from out of town to Nanticoke to spend the day visiting local neighborhoods and doing business with local merchants and restaurants.

Local merchants are encouraged to plan special promotions or sidewalk sales to coincide with the event.
