Albert J. Wytoshek, Nanticoke
city treasurer/tax collector, reminds property owners that the
2008 city property taxes were issued on Feb. 12. Anyone who
did not receive his or her property tax statement is requested
to contact the tax office. It is the property owners responsibility
to promptly forward their tax statements to their respective
mortgage company.
City property taxes for 2008 are in rebate
value until April 11. After that date, face value will be
due until June 10. After that date, all unpaid 2008 city property
taxes will be in penalty value until Dec. 15, the last date
taxes will be collected at the city building.
When remitting payment by mail, if a receipt
is requested, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. All
residents are reminded tax payments are not accepted by postmark.
Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Anyone needing an appointment or assistance should call the
tax office at 735-2800.

per capita
taxes will be issued on a separate statement. All residents
18 and older are responsible to pay per capita tax. Any resident
who has not received a statement is requested to contact the
tax office. Office hours
are Monday through Friday, 9 am. to 4 p.m.
