- 3/27/2009 - The Maintenance Code will
be strictly enforced this year with routine property inspections.
Property owners are reminded to maintain their properties in
a clean, safe and sanitary condition; this includes cutting
grass, keeping property free of appliances, unregistered vehicles,
debris and other inappropriate materials littering yards. Owners
will be cited for failure to comply. Those with questions may
call 735-2800, ext. 104.
- 12/23/2007 - City
Code Enforcement Officer Joe Kordek said a certificate of occupancy
is required prior to the sale of a property. It is the duty
of the owner to contact the code enforcement office and make
arrangements for an occupancy inspection. When applying for
an occupancy inspection, allow seven to 10 days for inspection.
Violation will result in citations. There is a $100 fee for
residential transfers and $350 for commercial transfers. Call
735-2800 for information.
- 12/23/2007 - All
property owners in Nanticoke are advised to clean their sidewalks
after a snowstorm. Failure to do so will result in citations
for each day the violation occurs.
- The Nanticoke City Zoning Office would like
to remind city property owners that if they are planning to
install a swimming pool on their property, they must first notify
the zoning office at the municipalbuilding in order to avoid
any zoning violations.
-
Occupancy inspections must
be performed before the sale or rental of any home. Landlords
must submit a Tenant Registration Form within 10 days of occupancy
change. Forms are available at the Code Enforcement Office
in the Municipal Building. For more information, call Andy
Kratz at 735-2800, ext. 3104
